Leadership Development Program -

Solutions From Within

The goal of this program is to achieve an alignment of the manager's leadership style with the organisation’s culture, values and objectives; and achieve significant and lasting cultural change by developing strong leadership.

The first part of the course focuses on the nature of the culture and the role that leadership plays in changing/sustaining culture.  We explore the difference between leadership and management, and the skills that leadership requires, with a special emphasis on emotional intelligence and neuroscience of leadership. We look at building teams from groups, and styles of leadership that build resonance and dissonance, and reinforce when different styles apply. The workshops are highly interactive, include personality profiling, and generate practical ideas that can be applied immediately and will motivate managers to review their performance. 

The second part concentrates on building more complex skills. It is dedicated to improving communication skills and providing managers with the skills to have crucial and courageous conversations comfortably, including improved coaching skills.  

The third part is leveled at team and organisational development, managing upwards, decision making, leading change, and facilitating meetings which encourage constructive participation and lead to positive, relevant and meaningful outcomes.

Workshops are a vehicle to develop skills necessary to bring about positive change on an organisational and personal level. Workshops are generally more interactive and more intimate than seminars - participants are encouraged to think through issues for themselves and interact with other participants. They will learn a method, a technique or the 'how to' and take those skills back to the workplace.

Workshop topics emphasise improved communication skills which result in increased buy-in, leading to improved workplace harmony, shorter and more effective meetings, and increased customer satisfaction as examples. Unlike seminars, workshops may involve pre - or post-work.

Conflict Resolution and Mediation

We work with people to resolve differences, diffuse anger and modify behaviours. Our goal is to bring core issues to the surface, ventilate grievances, and clear the air. A variety of techniques are used depending on the circumstances.

Conflicts are a normal part of life; how we deal with them can make a big difference. Often when people resolve conflicts, one person ends up a winner, and one loses out. This may solve the problem for the moment, but resentment and bad feelings can cause more problems later. Another way to look at conflicts is to try to find a mutual purpose, in which both sides can benefit from the one outcome. In this way, conflicts are turned into opportunities to grow and make things better. This approach is the cornerstone of "conflict resolution" - an important tool for bringing peace into our personal lives, our communities and to our world.
